How does DexFLOW notify users about the job count in their or subordinate queues?
There are two types of the application for job count management. The first one is a configurable dashboard that is a part of the standard DexFLOW Console application. A user can see his or her own jobs and job counts by project/node, configure grouping parameters, etc. The second application is generally meant for managers to review job counts for their subordinates and review statistical information. This application allows a manager to set up different profiles for watching different nodes, individual users, or groups of users. The application also supports customizing color-coding, for example when the number of items in the user's queue reaches certain threshold. DexFLOW Statistics application allows a manager to review workflow statistics as a number of incoming or outgoing parcels.
Does DexFLOW have an ability to scan, import, or view colored documents?
Yes, DexFLOW supports B&W, color, and grayscale documents. This includes all operations throughout the workflow like Barcode, OCR/ICR, Full Text Search, Image Enhancement and other. DexFLOW can store color images as TIFF, PNG or JPG files, depending on customer configuration.

Are there any differences between archive and active workflow storage in DexFLOW?
The archive storage provides the same search, retrieval, and modification capabilities as the workflow storage does. The only limitation is that archive documents cannot be routed, and those have to be returned to the workflow first. Dexik created a one-step distribution process that works same way in archive and workflow storages. During this step, all manipulations are done "behind the curtain", and a user can route any archive document from the Retrieve module back to any queue in a workflow.
What kind of Graphical User Interface manipulation does DexFLOW provide?
DexFLOW provides full keyboard control even through a web client (usually web clients have keyboard functional limitations due to browser). A user is able to manipulate tables (move fields, change width), keyboard shortcuts for buttons, filter data in a table (column filter), change sorting order in table(s). These settings can be saved in a user's local profile. Smart client also allows using customized application "skins".

How is DexFLOW converting existing (legacy system) images, meta data and indexes?
Dexik possesses an expert in converting Exigen VisiFLOW data and images. Over the course of last five years, Dexik had converted over 250M pages of DMS images. Dexik performance is unmatched, delivering up to 1M pages per hour. Dexik also has an out-of-the-box on the fly conversion module. One the strategies Dexik utilizes is to convert most recent data (2-3 years, based on data analysis) and keep the rest as DMS. With Dexik performance, converting even large files is instant. Dexik is also familiar with IBM Content Manager (MODCA) file conversion and several other proprietary formats. For the systems that don't store documents in proprietary image format, Dexik can use Import Processor to import standard documents like TIFF, JPEG, PNG, BMP, GIF, PDF, DOC variations, XLS variations, PPT variations, MDI, EML, MSG and others.
Is it possible to identify and flag potential duplicates based on user defined criteria?
DexFLOW provides an ability to quickly add functions and features without modifying the product core. This ability allows building the customized reporting or flagging/filtering options adjustable to user requirements. For example, when a document arrives to the node, an automatic event processor fires a script that verifies whether this document duplicates the existing document in the system. If the document is a duplicate, the script flags this document, and a user sees this document as "marked". The flagging can also trigger the color coding for this document record (for example, highlight the record Red in the table).
How can we calculate due document dates in DexFLOW?
Depending on the business case, the due dates can either be set and calculated automatically or set up manually. One of the most common cases is when the due date is assigned by Document Type. In this case, Due Dates can be defined for each document type, and when a user or automatic process assigns document type - the Due Date will be assigned automatically. For more complex logic, the "event trigger" can be used to execute a script that will setup the Due Date. It is possible to setup Due Date to be overridden by the user or make it not alterable when necessary.
How does DexFLOW handle image security so documents cannot be changed or altered after scanning (non-reputability)?
DexFLOW allows securing individual annotations (document notes, page notes, posted notes, redaction, highlights, etc.), document pages, documents, and other objects. Security settings are transparent for a Windows administrator since we use similar security permissions and concept.

Provide a method whereby newer, more frequently accessed documents can be fetched from high performance storage devices while older, less frequently accessed documents are fetched from slower storage devices
DexFLOW architecture takes a serious consideration that some images are accessed more frequently than other ones. As a result, Dexik supports configurign multiple storage locations. When a document is moved to archive, it is usually moved to a slower storage. The alternative solution is to move document to a slower storage after X days (30,60,90, per doctype). When a document from archive is re-accessed, it is moved to cache. If a document is modified, it stays in cache until system re-commits the image. If the document was not modified, it can either be deleted from cache right away (immediate clean-up) or by cleaned-up by defined schedule.
Ability of the application to pre-fetch/cache images based on user defined rules
Dexik Viewer always fetches 3 pages when a document is opened. All other pages are fetched upon request (user browsing through document). At the same time, image thumbnails are loaded instantly, allowing user to quickly browse through the document.
