- Parcel – consider it like a briefcase to carry around a folder that can contain a single or many documents assigned to it, and can have indexing values for processing throughout the workflow up to the commit stage.
- Commit – is the final step of storing a document. Usually will also do converting of file to a company’s selected choice of file type storage. Examples: TIFF, JPG, DjVu.
- OCR – Optical Character Reader user to read a document into a searchable text metadata for automatic processing of indexing values. Zoning, Free scan, and Anchors are the common types.
- Barcode – DexFLOW Barcode engine is one of the best in this field, with the ability to read all common barcode types. Its main use is to read and indexing documents and parcels via barcode on the document.
- Scanning Node – is designed to work with a wide verity of scanners and VRS system. The node can also do file pickups and other types on input process.
- Workflow Map – a graphical visual of the workflow.
- EDS – Electronic Document Services, can be an outside or a company’s department to manage the electronic document records system.
- ECM – Electronic Content Management, devoted to the management of information in an organization throughout its life cycle, from the time of creation or inscription to its eventual disposition. This includes identifying, classifying, storing, securing, retrieving, tracking and destroying or permanently preserving records.
